India won the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup title for the second consecutive time by defeating South Africa in the final on Sunday. Chasing South Africa’s target of 83 runs, India registered an easy win by scoring 84 runs for one wicket in 11.2 overs with 52 balls remaining. Gongadi Trisha was the top scorer from India. Sanika Chalke also scored an unbeaten 26 off 22 balls. Earlier, the Indian bowlers led by Trisha (three wickets for 15) performed brilliantly, which reduced the South African team to 82 runs in 20 overs.

Parunika Sisodia (two wickets for six runs), Ayushi Shukla (two wickets for nine) and Vaishnavi Sharma (two wickets for 23) also took two wickets while bowling brilliantly.
