New Delhi. At the age of just 14, Mumbai’s Ira Jadhav batted so brilliantly that it created history. She created a stir by scoring a triple century in the Women’s Under-19 ODI Trophy against Meghalaya. This girl played an unbeaten inning of 346 runs in just 157 balls. Ira hit 42 fours and 16 sixes in this innings. Ira has become the first Indian woman cricketer to score a triple century in limited overs cricket. She also became the first cricketer to score a triple century in any BCCI organized tournament.

Ira Jadhav set a new record by playing explosive style like former Indian opener Virender Sehwag and hitting shots like Sachin Tendulkar. Jadhav, who opened for Mumbai, made a partnership of 274 runs with captain Harley Gala for the second wicket. Who scored a brilliant 116 runs in 79 balls. After this Ira made a partnership of 186 runs with Deeksha Pawar (39). his/her explosive batting completely destroyed Meghalaya’s bowling. Three bowlers of the team gave 100 runs or more.
