Expansion

National President JP Nadda has got extension in the National Executive meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party. The party has taken this decision in view of the upcoming assembly elections in nine states and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Meanwhile, will the tenure of Madhya Pradesh State President Vishnudutt Sharma be extended or not. Or a new face will be given the command of the state. The high command will take a decision regarding this soon. Because VD Sharma’s three-year term is going to end on February 15.

Sources in the Bharatiya Janata Party say that with the increase in the term of the National President, some changes will be seen in his team in the coming days. Apart from some national office bearers, there is talk of changing the state presidents. Apart from this, in view of the 2024 elections, some new people will also be included in the organization. The tenure of some state presidents can also be extended. VD Whether Sharma’s tenure will be extended or not will all depend on the feedback. The work of taking feedback from the national level is going on. Its report will reach Delhi in a few days. After this there will be necessary changes in the responsibilities according to the assembly elections. The working committee meeting will be held on January 24 in the state capital Bhopal. If VD Sharma is removed, then the fate of these people can open.

Party sources say that if the BJP removes VD Sharma, then a leader coming from the general category can be made the president in his place. In this race, former minister Rajendra Shukla is seen at the forefront. Shukla is said to have good tuning with CM Chouhan. By handing over the responsibility of the state to Shukla, the BJP will easily take control of Vindhya and Mahakaushal. Vindhyachal was one such area in the 2018 elections where the party fared better than expected. Out of 30 seats in the region, the BJP had won 24. Whereas out of 38 seats of Mahakaushal, the last 13 seats were won.

Meanwhile, the names of Minister Arvind Singh Bhadoria and National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya in the Shivraj government are also included in the race. Both the leaders are considered to have a good hold in the organization. Bhadoria has a good rapport with CM Chouhan. They have influence in the Gwalior Chambal belt. Last time also his name was included in the state president’s race. But on time VD Sharma won the game. Recently, Bhadauria has played an important role in ending the Karni Sena movement. National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya is responsibility free these days. His supporters claim that he is the strongest contender for the state president. His supporters are known in every district of the state. While Vijayvargiya is believed to have a strong hold in Malwa-Nimar. In the 2018 assembly elections, BJP got 28 seats out of 66 seats in Malwa Nimar. While the Congress had won 35 seats here. Due to BJP’s backwardness in Malwa-Nimar, the party had to be thrown out of power. In the 2013 elections, BJP had captured 57 seats, Congress could win only 9 seats.

Party’s eye on Dalit and tribal vote bank

In view of the assembly elections, BJP can also play the caste card. The party is eyeing the Dalit and tribal vote bank. This section had left the party in the 2018 assembly elections. In such a situation, the command of the state can also be handed over to a Dalit or tribal face. Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sumer Singh Solanki’s name is foremost among the tribal faces. Solanki has been associated with the RSS since childhood. He is the nephew of Makan Singh Solanki, MP from Khargone-Barwani. There are about 22 percent tribal voters in MP. 84 seats are tribal dominated. In the 2018 elections, 34 of these 84 seats were captured by the BJP. Whereas in the 2013 elections, the party had won 59 seats. In such a situation, the BJP is once again trying to make inroads among the tribals.

In order to help the Dalit class, the party can make any Dalit face from the state sit on the chair of the state president. In such a situation, the name of National President of BJP’s National Scheduled Front, Lalsingh Arya is at the forefront. Arya has been a minister in the previous term of the Shivraj government. He had lost the election in 2018. The work done by Lal Singh for the Scheduled Caste Front of the party is being appreciated in the party. Arya National Organization is also included in the Good Book of General Secretary BL Santosh and President JP Nadda. In Madhya Pradesh, 35 assembly seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes, while in terms of vote bank, 17 percent of the votes belong to this category. This vote bank has a direct hold on more than 50 seats and plays a decisive role. At present, out of 35 seats, BJP has 21 seats, Congress has 14 seats.
