Motorcycle Broke Police Naka in Rajouri: In Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, three motorcycle-borne persons escaped from a police post and fled into the forest late on Wednesday night, following which security forces launched a search operation. This information was provided by officers.
A senior police officer said, “The motorcycle has crossed a police naka at Thalka near Nowshera. However, the policemen with the help of locals chased the vehicle and intercepted it at some distance.” Three persons on a motorcycle fled leaving the vehicle in the middle of the road. A search was launched to trace them, the official said. He clarified that what is being circulated on social media that these three were carrying weapons was not true. People are advised not to spread rumours.

This incident is of 8:30 pm yesterday. Police and army have cordoned off the area. The search operation is going on continuously. According to the police, there were three people on the bike. The police also told that there was no number plate on the bike. The speed of the bike was very fast.
Massive search operation underway
After the incident, the police and the army together have started a search operation. Till now no clue of them has been found. There is an atmosphere of fear among the people of the area regarding suspected bike riders.
There was a terrorist attack in Dangri
There was a terrorist attack on New Year’s Day in Dangri area of Rajouri. The terrorists attacked the houses of three minorities and 4 people were shot dead. During the search operation conducted by the army, explosives exploded in a house, in which 7 people were injured. All the injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Anger among people over the attack
There is a lot of anger among the people of the area regarding this terrorist attack. People have also protested at the main square in Dangri. Local people say that terrorists are targeting and killing minorities. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha condemned the terrorist attack in Rajouri. On behalf of the Lieutenant Governor’s office, it was said that the nearest relative of every civilian martyred in the attack would be given an ex-gratia amount of Rs 10 lakh and a government job. 1 lakh will be given to the seriously injured.
