Telangana News: Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh intervened to resolve the infighting in the Telangana Congress and requested the senior leaders to postpone the proposed meeting on Tuesday, which was accepted by the senior party leaders. These leaders complain that the leaders who have recently joined the party are being given more attention than the old leaders and workers.
Former MLA A. Maheshwar Reddy said that senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh called him and said that he would soon come to Hyderabad to address the concerns raised by the leaders there.
‘No demand from senior Congress leaders from Telangana’
Maheshwar Reddy welcomed the AICC’s decision to task Digvijaya Singh to talk to senior leaders and expressed confidence that his intervention would resolve the issues. He said that there is no demand from the senior leaders of the state and their slogan is to save the Congress.
‘Equal justice and social balance is needed in the party’
When asked why the situation of Congress Bachao had arisen, former MLA A.K. Maheshwar Reddy said that senior party leaders want equal justice and social balance. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) senior vice-president Mallu Ravi welcomed the national leadership’s decision to hand over the responsibility to Digvijaya Singh to solve the problem.

More than 10 leaders resigned from their PCC posts
Congress infighting is going on in Telangana. Some senior leaders have alleged that those who came to Congress from other parties got prominence in the posts in the party. In protest against this, more than 10 leaders had resigned from their PCC posts. The leaders who have resigned include sitting Congress MLA Danasari Anasuya (Sitakka) and former MLA Vem Narendra Reddy.
