New arrangements for NEET UG 2025

Government sources say that this time the principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas will be given the responsibility of District Coordinator. In the process of preparing the exam centres, the opinion of the District Magistrate (DM), senior officials of the local administration and local police will also be taken. DM, SP and District Coordinator will together improve the arrangements.

Describing giving big responsibility to the KV Principal an important decision, government sources say that ‘when the DM or SP has to discuss anything, they can talk to the KV Principal. This will lead to better coordination between the local administration, police and NTA coordinator. Taking lessons from past experiences, complete preparations are being made this time.

When can NEET exam be held?

Senior officials in the Education Ministry are reviewing various exams with NTA on a regular basis. Decisions are being taken keeping in mind the problems faced by the students in the last years. Like before, this time also NEET UG exam is to be held in pen and paper mode i.e. offline. Since the examination is held in a single shift, more centers are required. NEET UG exam is held on the first Sunday of May and the same may happen this time too.

NEET Registration 2025: When can it start?

NEET UG registration started from 9th February in 2024. Sources say that NTA is finalizing the schedule of various examinations. The online registration process for NEET UG 2025 may begin in late January or early February. One month’s time will be given to the students. This exam is likely to be conducted in 13 languages.

NTA will conduct examination worth Rs 60 lakh!

The engineering entrance test JEE Main 2025 Session 1 will begin from January 22. More than 12 lakh students have applied for this. This time the number of people applying for medical admission in NEET exam is expected to reach 25 lakh. UGC NET and CSIR UGC NET also have up to 15 lakh applications. In this way up to 50 lakh applications are received. There is a possibility of a total of 60 lakh applications in all these entrance tests in 2025.

NTA will be responsible for all these exams. To ensure that NTA conducts every exam in a better manner, a three-member Higher Power Steering Committee has also been formed. About 400 centers are required for computer based test. At the same time, in pen and paper mode, many times more centers will be required. Last year, 4750 centers were set up for NEET UG in 571 cities. This time it remains to be seen in how many cities the exam will be held.
