As soon as we leave the house and walk some distance, when we meet traffic, perhaps the whole day gets spoiled, because a person thinks that wherever we go, we can reach there comfortably within half an hour. But this was prevented from happening. Because traffic is such a thing that no one can say when you will get out after getting stuck in it or when not. Such is the bad condition of some cities, where half of a person’s life revolves around traffic jams.
Let us tell you, a report has come out on the traffic situation in the major cities of India during 2024, in which Bengaluru has been considered as the city with the slowest traffic in the country. Let us tell you through this article which city is at which number.

Traffic is in bad condition in Kolkata
Kolkata had overtaken Bengaluru to get the first position. Kolkata, once famous as a quiet city, has now topped the list as the city with the slowest traffic in India. The report says that traffic is slow in Kolkata and traffic jams have become a common thing on the roads here. This situation has become worse due to the city’s old roads, narrow lanes and increasing population.

Bengaluru is also in a similar situation

Bengaluru, which is famous as a technology and IT hub, the traffic condition here too is not good. Heavy traffic jams in the city, stuck in traffic lights and jams for long hours and vehicles reaching their destination late have become a common thing. The traffic situation on the roads of Bengaluru has still worsened due to old infrastructure and rapid development.

Why is traffic problem increasing? There are many reasons behind the increasing traffic problems in cities like Bengaluru and Kolkata. First, increasing population, then increasing vehicles and then lack of public transport are said to be the main reasons. Besides, road construction and development works are also not completed on time, making the traffic situation even worse.
