What is Tata Scholarship?

Funding for the Tata Scholarships offered to Indian students comes from the ‘Tata Education and Development Trust’, a philanthropic initiative of the Tata Group. This scholarship is given to Indian students through an endowment (donation given to an institution) of 25 million dollars. The scholarship covers tuition fees and other expenses of Indian students during their undergraduate studies. Every year this scholarship is given to 20 students to study at Cornell University.

• The applicant must have studied in India till 12th.
• Applicant must have an offer letter to study undergraduate course at Cornell University.
• The applicant must be in need of a scholarship to study abroad.

What documents will be required for scholarship?

Students must have TOEFL or IELTS scores when applying for Tata Scholarship. All academic records i.e. results and necessary documents should be there. At the time of applying for the scholarship, the student must also have documents proving financial need and proof of being an Indian citizen. Two letters of recommendation will also be required. Apart from this, passport size photo will also be required.
