The weather department issues a forecast of rain every day but there is no sign of rain. According to IMD, it may rain in some areas of Delhi tomorrow i.e. on July 31. Tomorrow, the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to be 35 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 28 degrees.

Heavy rain alert in Himachal Pradesh for next 3-4 days

The spell of rain continues in Himachal Pradesh. Today, a foot bridge and three temporary thatched roofs were washed away in the flash flood caused by cloudburst in Tosh Nala of Kullu district. The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘yellow’ alert, predicting heavy rains at different places on August 2 and 3. Tomorrow, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Shimla and Sirmaur districts. Along with this, IMD has also issued a warning of landslides. The Meteorological Department has predicted landslides and flash floods in sensitive areas of Kullu, Solan, Sirmaur, Shimla and Kinnaur districts.

Landslide wreaks havoc in Wayanad

The death toll in the landslide that hit Kerala’s hilly Wayanad district on Tuesday has risen to 80. A source said that rescue workers are recovering body parts from rivers and mud, so it is difficult to ascertain the exact number of people killed in this tragedy. The source said that it is not clear whether the body parts being found belong to a single person or to several persons. Many women and children are also among the dead. Let us tell you that the landslide affected areas include Mundakkai, Choorlamala, Attmala and Noolpuzha villages. Rescue teams including the Indian Army are making tireless efforts to rescue the trapped people.
