Waterlogging after rain in Delhi

A few hours of rain has caused waterlogging in many areas of Delhi. Due to the poor drainage system, water has accumulated on the roads, which has slowed down the speed of vehicles. There was a long traffic jam of several kilometers on Mehrauli Badarpur Road. Many vehicles were seen half submerged in water. People going to offices, schools and markets had to face a lot of trouble in the water. A local woman said that the situation is very bad due to waterlogging after heavy rain. Every year during the rainy season, this area gets filled with water up to the knees. There is a terrible traffic jam on the roads, and there is no place even to walk.

Heavy rain in many areas of Rajasthan

Monsoon rains continue in Rajasthan and heavy rains occurred in Mount Abu and Sri Ganganagar in the last 24 hours. During this, heavy rains occurred at some places in Sri Ganganagar district. According to this, the highest rainfall of 80 mm was recorded in Jaitsar of Sri Ganganagar and 49 mm in Mount Abu. Apart from this, moderate rain was recorded at many places in Alwar, Bharatpur, Barmer and Udaipur districts. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain only at some places in Rajasthan from August 30 to September 1. At the same time, there is a strong possibility of increase in rain activities again in Kota, Udaipur, Bharatpur divisions from September 2 and heavy rains at some places.

Flood like situation still prevails in Gujarat

Rainfall eased in Gujarat on Thursday, leading to a slight improvement in the situation, but Vadodara and some other parts of the state are still reeling under floods as rivers are in spate. Authorities are continuing relief and rescue operations. The situation improved slightly in Vadodara, the worst-hit city by the recent heavy rains, as the water level of Vishwamitri river receded to 32 feet from 37 feet in the morning. However, many low-lying areas of the city are still inundated. The water level of Vishwamitri river had risen above the danger mark of 25 feet on Tuesday morning due to heavy rains and release of water from Ajwa dam. The meteorological department has forecast heavy rains in coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch on Thursday and Friday.

Heavy rain in many parts of Uttar Pradesh

The weather has become pleasant due to the continuous rain in Uttar Pradesh. There has been heavy rain in the capital Lucknow. On Thursday, heavy rain is expected in Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Bijnor, Moradabad and its surrounding areas. On August 30, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Western UP. Whereas during this time, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at some places in Eastern UP. Similarly, on August 31 also, there may be thundershowers at some places in Western UP and thundershowers at some places in Eastern UP.
