There will be dense fog in Delhi after the rain
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog on December 29. During this period, the maximum temperature is likely to be 21 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be 8 degrees. At the same time, there will be dense fog on 30th December also. However, the maximum temperature on this day is likely to be 22 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 7 degrees. There is a possibility of dense fog on the last day of the year i.e. 31st December. On this day, the maximum temperature can be 22 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 6 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, due to continuous snowfall in the mountains and western disturbances, people in the plains will also have to face cold winter.
Extreme cold in many areas of Rajasthan
Most areas of Rajasthan are in the grip of severe cold and the Meteorological Department has predicted rain and hailstorm at many places in the state from Thursday. According to the Meteorological Centre, Jaipur, the weather in the state remained generally dry in the last 24 hours. During this period, dense to very dense fog was observed at some places and ‘cold day’ was recorded in western Rajasthan. Rain and hailstorm are expected at some places on December 27. According to the Meteorological Department, on December 28, light rain is expected at some places in Kota and Bharatpur division and the weather is expected to be mainly dry in most of the remaining parts, whereas from December 29, the weather will remain dry and there will be dense fog at some places and the temperature will rise. There may be a decline.
Possibility of snowfall in Kashmir
Kashmir is in the grip of a severe cold wave and the minimum temperature has reached several degrees below the freezing point. There is a possibility of light snowfall in the higher reaches on Friday and Saturday, as the influence of western disturbance is likely to affect the region. A drop in night temperatures was recorded in the Kashmir Valley, due to which the cold wave continued in the valley. Due to the fall in mercury, water has frozen in many reservoirs and water supply lines in various areas. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be mainly dry on December 29, 30 and 31, while there is a possibility of light snowfall at isolated places in Kashmir from January 1 to 4.
Winter havoc in North India
According to the Meteorological Department, severe cold conditions persist in Punjab and Haryana. In Punjab, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.4 degrees Celsius in Amritsar, 5.7 degrees Celsius in Amritsar and 5.5 degrees Celsius in Gurdaspur. Narnaul was the coldest place in Haryana with a minimum temperature of 5.2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius in Hisar, 8 degrees Celsius in Karnal and Sirsa and 9.3 degrees Celsius in Gurugram. Chandigarh, the common capital of both the states, recorded a minimum temperature of 7.4 degrees Celsius.
