Tomorrow’s weather 26 December 2024: Severe cold has hit the entire North India. Fog was seen in most areas of Delhi on Wednesday morning. However, there was also lukewarm sunshine during the day. According to the Meteorological Department in Delhi, there is a possibility of drizzle or light rain in Delhi for the next three days.

How will the weather be in Delhi tomorrow?

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain in Delhi on 26, 27 and 28 December. The weather department has predicted rain along with fog. Meteorologists have issued advice saying that there is a need to be cautious due to increasing cold. According to IMD forecast, the minimum temperature in Delhi today is expected to be 9 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 22 degrees.

Severe winter in Punjab, Haryana

Punjab and Haryana experienced severe cold on Wednesday and Faridkot was the coldest place with a minimum temperature of 4.2 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department gave this information. In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a minimum temperature of 5.4 degrees Celsius while Gurdaspur recorded a minimum temperature of 5.5 degrees Celsius. Bathinda also had a very cold night with a temperature of 6.2 degrees Celsius. Narnaul was the coldest place in Haryana with a minimum temperature of 5.2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 6.8 degrees Celsius in Hisar, eight degrees Celsius in Karnal and Sirsa and 9.3 degrees Celsius in Gurugram. Chandigarh, the capital of both the states of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a minimum temperature of 7.4 degrees Celsius.

Snowfall in Kashmir and Himachal

Severe cold continues in North India with snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, while rain in parts of Rajasthan and Delhi has turned the weather quite cold. Overall, cold wave conditions persisted in the entire area. At least 233 roads in the state, including three national highways, are closed due to fresh snowfall in several districts of Himachal Pradesh. Officials said that there was snowfall in the higher areas of Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti, Shimla, Kullu, Mandi, Chamba and Sirmaur districts of the state. Maximum 145 roads are closed in Shimla, followed by 25 in Kullu and 20 in Mandi district.

Temperature well below zero in Srinagar

The minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 6.6 degrees Celsius, while in Pahalgam it was minus 7.8 degrees Celsius. The night temperature was recorded at minus 7.4 degrees Celsius in Gulmarg, minus 6.2 degrees Celsius in Qazigund, while Konibal, a village in the Pampore area, was the coldest in the valley with a temperature of minus 8.5 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted a drop of two to three degrees in the minimum temperature in the next few days from December 26. Kashmir is currently in the grip of ‘Chilla-e-Kalan’ which is considered to be the harshest period of winter and which started from December 21.

Snowy and cold winds in Uttarakhand

Snowy and cold winds have been blowing across Uttarakhand since Monday and higher reaches including Chamoli and Uttarkashi received snowfall, while lower areas received light rain. Apart from Badrinath, snowfall occurred in Valley of Flowers National Park, Nanda Devi National Park and Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary as well as villages above Mana and Malari in Niti Valley. There remains a possibility of further snowfall.

Severe fog with winter in Rajasthan

Severe winter is occurring in most parts of Rajasthan where dense fog was seen in many areas on Wednesday morning. According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours, there was light rain at one place in eastern Rajasthan, while fog and dense fog remained at many places. During this period, ‘cold day’ was recorded at some places in western Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Center, Jaipur, due to a new western disturbance becoming active from December 26, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in some parts of Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Jaipur, Bharatpur and Bikaner divisions.
