The Meteorological Department says that the return journey of the southwest monsoon has started from Monday. However, the Meteorological Office has also predicted widespread rain in many areas in the coming week. The Meteorological Office has predicted the formation of a low pressure area over the west-central Bay of Bengal, which may cause rain in some states on the east coast. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted very heavy to extremely heavy rains in coastal and interior areas of North Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Central, East and Northeast India during the coming week.

The maximum temperature is expected to be 37 degrees Celsius.

UP: Chances of thunderstorm with rain

Rain continues in many parts of UP. The Meteorological Department says that rain is expected in the state for the next three-four days. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for four days in the state. It predicts drizzle and light rain for the next two days while moderate rain is predicted on 26-27 September. Along with this, rain with thunderstorms is expected for the next two days.

Assam: Heat has made life miserable

All schools in Assam’s Kamrup Metropolitan district have been ordered closed for four days from Tuesday due to scorching heat. The state capital recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. This is 5.9 degrees above normal.
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) of the India Meteorological Department has forecast that Guwahati will remain generally cloudy with one or two rains or thundershowers during the next two to three days.
