Tomorrow’s weather 25 December 2024: After drizzle in Delhi-NCR, the cold has increased further. People have started lighting bonfires to escape the cold. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light drizzle in Delhi this evening. The weather will be clear tomorrow i.e. on Christmas day. Moderate to dense fog may remain. There are chances of drizzle again from the night of 26th December, the next day of Christmas. There may be moderate rain on December 27. The maximum temperature can be 21 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 8 degrees. There will be light to moderate rain on December 28 also. The maximum temperature will be 21 and the minimum temperature will be 8 degrees. After this the weather will clear from 29th December.

Drizzle in West UP, cold increased due to strong wind

For the first time in this winter season, there was drizzle in many districts of West UP on Monday, due to which the mood of the weather changed and the cold increased. With the change in weather on Monday, it remained cloudy since morning. According to the Meteorological Department, further changes in the weather are likely from December 27. The cold may increase further. The day temperature is still not decreasing in many districts of West UP including Meerut and Saharanpur. It is definitely a little cold at night. The effect of smog is increasing in the morning and evening.

Rain in many parts of North India

After light rain in parts of North India, day temperatures dropped sharply in many areas of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, while cold wave continued in Kashmir and the mercury dropped several degrees below zero. Shimla and surrounding areas in Himachal Pradesh also received light snowfall, due to which 30 roads were closed in the state.

Severe cold in Haryana-Punjab

There was a sharp drop in the maximum temperature due to rain in many parts of Haryana and Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, Chandigarh received light rain during the day and the maximum temperature was recorded at 13.7 degrees Celsius, which is six degrees below normal. In Haryana, the maximum temperature in Ambala was recorded at 13.2 degrees Celsius, six degrees below normal, while Hisar also recorded a maximum temperature of 14.1 degrees Celsius.

Zero temperature in Kashmir

The Meteorological Department in Jammu and Kashmir has asked tourists to follow the advisory issued by the traffic police in view of sub-zero temperatures and icy conditions on roads in important high altitude areas in the Kashmir Valley. Severe cold wave conditions prevailed in the valley, leading to freezing of water supply pipelines, while a thin layer of ice formed on the surface of many reservoirs. The Meteorological Department said that the minimum temperature in Srinagar on Sunday night was recorded at minus 3.6 degrees Celsius, which was about four degrees more than the previous night. The minimum temperature in Pahalgam was recorded below minus five degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted a drop of two to three degrees in the minimum temperature in the next 48 hours.

Second snowfall of the season in Himachal

Himachal capital Shimla received its second light snowfall of the season on Monday, while some other parts of the state received intermittent rain and snowfall. Snowfall also occurred in nearby tourist places of Kufri and Narkanda and higher reaches of Kharapathar, Chaudhar and Chanshal South Portal of Atal Tunnel and Samdho. Shimla recorded eight cm snowfall, while Kalpa received seven cm snowfall. The Meteorological Department said that intermittent light rain occurred in some areas of the lower hilly areas of Himachal. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in the central and higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
