The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain with strong thunder in some parts of Pauri, Champawat and Nainital districts including Dehradun. While there are chances of several rounds of heavy rain in some areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Heavy rain is also likely in the plains along with the hilly districts.

Rain wreaks havoc in UP, 11 people died

According to the relief department, more rain was recorded in 19 out of 75 districts during this period. Hamirpur district recorded the highest rainfall of 163.2 mm. The department has also alerted the local administration in Gorakhpur, Siddharth Nagar and Gonda districts, where the water level of the river is flowing close to the danger mark.
