Tomorrow’s weather 16th December 2024: The weather patterns have changed across the country including Delhi-NCR. Now cold wave has started in entire North India. Snowfall continues in the mountains. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of cold and cold wave at many places yesterday also. Apart from this, there are chances of rain in some states of South India. According to IMD, there may be rain in parts of Tamil Nadu and Andaman Nicobar Islands tomorrow. Know where the weather will be tomorrow.

The mercury reached below 5 degrees in Delhi

Cold wave has started in the capital Delhi. The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 4.9 degrees on Sunday morning, which is three degrees below normal. According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury is not likely to drop much in Delhi for the next week. But around Christmas the cold will increase which will continue till the New Year. There is no possibility of cold wave in Delhi next week, but the chill will bother people. People will get relief from sunshine during the day. Tomorrow the maximum temperature in Delhi may be 22 to 24 degrees and the minimum may be 6 to 7 degrees.

Relief from severe cold wave in Kashmir

There has been some relief from the cold wave in Kashmir due to the increase in minimum temperature in the valley. Although the mercury still remains below 0. The minimum temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 3.4 degrees Celsius, which is better than the previous night’s minus 4.6 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry till December 21. However, the minimum temperature is expected to drop further in the valley during the next three days and cold wave is expected to prevail at many places.

Severe winter continues in Rajasthan

Severe winter continues in Rajasthan. The minimum temperature in Fatehpur is being recorded below zero for several days continuously. According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours, cold wave was recorded at some places in the state and ‘extreme cold wave’ was recorded at one or two places. The minimum temperature in most of the cities of the state also remains below 10 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, not much change is expected in the weather in the coming days. However, the biting cold will continue to trouble people.

Cold wave alert in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, cold wave conditions are likely to persist in North-West India for the next five days and in Central India for the next three days. Cold wave may prevail in northwest India, central India, interior parts of Maharashtra and Odisha tomorrow. Dense fog may occur in Naliya and surrounding areas of Saurashtra. Dense fog may also occur in Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Apart from this, there are chances of cold wave in Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.

Rain alert in these states

A low pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal in the coming 24 hours. After next two days, it may turn into a cyclonic storm while moving in west-northwest direction and reach Tamil Nadu coasts. A cyclonic circulation is forming near Andaman and South Andaman Sea. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Apart from this, there may be rain in some areas of Tamil Nadu also.
