Tomorrow’s weather 12th December 2024: The cold has finally knocked in Delhi. Cold winds are blowing along with lukewarm sunshine. Even in the afternoon, people are seen wearing sweaters and jackets. Cold has increased after the rain in Delhi-NCR. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there will be smog and fog on Thursday morning. The sky will be clear in the afternoon. The maximum temperature can be 23 and the minimum can be 6 to 7 degrees. There will be smog and haze between 14th and 16th December also. The maximum temperature can be 24 and the minimum can be 6 to 7 degrees.

Temperature dropped in North India

According to Skymet, due to the passing of Western Disturbance and snowfall in the mountains, the minimum temperature in many parts of North India including Delhi remained below normal. It has fallen rapidly in the plains of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. At many places the minimum temperature has reached below 5 degrees. At present a Western Disturbance is forming over the high hills. It is not likely to affect the plains. But due to this, further decline in temperature may stop for the next two days. After this, after clear weather in the hills, the temperature will fall once again on the weekend between 13th to 15th December. During this period the cold may increase more rapidly.

How will the weather be in UP, Bihar, Jharkhand?

According to IMD, dense fog may occur during late evening and morning hours in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, East Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram and Tripura till December 12. Similar situation will prevail in Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab also. There is also a possibility of fog in West Bengal, Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand on December 11. With the arrival of winter, minimum temperatures are expected to drop by 2-4 degrees Celsius over northwest, central and eastern India in the next three days, with no significant change thereafter.

Cold wave continues in Himachal Pradesh

Cold wave continues in Himachal Pradesh. The minimum temperature was recorded 3 to 5 degrees below normal while light snowfall also occurred in some areas. Tabo in tribal district Lahaul-Spiti was the coldest place in Himachal Pradesh, where the minimum temperature was recorded at minus 12.7 degrees. The local meteorological center said that Khadrala, Koksar (Lahaul-Spiti) and Kalpa in Shimla received 2.0 cm, 0.5 cm and 0.2 cm snowfall respectively. The Meteorological Department said that except light rain and snowfall on December 12, the weather will remain dry for the next 7 days in Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kullu, Kinnaur districts and higher reaches of Kangra.
