The mercury is not falling during the day due to strong sunlight. At present, there are no signs of severe cold in Delhi-NCR. The condition of people is worsening due to pollution. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light fog and smog in the morning tomorrow i.e. on Sunday. The maximum temperature can be 27 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 12 degrees. After this, from December 2 to 4, the maximum temperature can be 27 to 28 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 11 to 12 degrees. There will be light to moderate fog. A slight drop in temperature may start from 5th December.

At the same time, cold is gradually increasing in many areas of North India. A drop in temperature is being observed in many cities and villages of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The feeling of cold is also increasing in the morning and evening. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of a significant drop in temperature in North India within a week.

Snowfall in higher areas of Kashmir

Despite night temperatures being above zero at most places in Kashmir, fresh snowfall occurred at many places in the valley including tourist towns in the higher reaches of the valley on Saturday. Officials said that due to the impact of western disturbance, there was fresh snowfall at many high altitude places in Kashmir. The first snowfall of this season occurred in Pahalgam, a famous tourist destination in Anantnag district of South Kashmir. There was snowfall at other tourist places including Gulmarg and Sonmarg.

Red alert in Tamil Nadu regarding Cyclone Fengal

There are rough seas and strong winds in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu as Cyclone Fengal approaches. According to IMD, Cyclone Fengal is expected to reach near Puducherry along the Tamil Nadu coast by this evening. According to IMD forecast, Cyclone Fangal is likely to cause heavy rainfall, strong winds and floods in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. Authorities have urged people living in low-lying and coastal areas to remain vigilant and follow safety advisories. Red alert has been issued across Tamil Nadu.
