Dense to very dense fog at isolated places in Rajasthan
There was dense to very dense fog at some places in Rajasthan on Sunday morning. According to Jaipur Meteorological Center, the weather in the state is likely to remain mainly dry for the next four to five days and the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to drop by two to four degrees in most parts. According to the spokesperson of the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of dense fog at isolated places in some parts of Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions for the next three days. he/she said that due to the activation of another strong western disturbance on January 10-12, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in the areas of Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions.
Severe cold after snowfall in Shimla
The highest maximum temperature in the known weather history in the month of January was recorded in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh on Friday. According to the local meteorological department, the maximum temperature in Shimla on Friday was 22 degrees Celsius. Earlier, the highest maximum temperature recorded in the first month of the year in the city was 21.4 degrees Celsius on January 30, 2006. Meanwhile, the department has issued an ‘orange’ alert for snowfall and rain in Shimla, Kinnaur, Lahaul and Spiti, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi districts on Sunday. The Meteorological Department said that snowfall and rain are expected in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday and Monday. The department said that the period of rain and snowfall may continue till Tuesday at some places in the high altitude mountainous areas of Himachal. he/she predicted that the weather will remain clear in the entire state from January 8.
