Snow and rain ends dry weather in Kashmir
The fresh snowfall in the height areas and the rains in the plains ended the long -running dry weather in the Kashmir Valley. The Meteorological Department has predicted more rainfall in the next four days. Officials said that there was snowfall in the height areas of Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara and Sonamarg districts of the valley. he/she said that snow was reported in many areas of southern Kashmir in the morning. In Srinagar and surrounding areas, intermittent rains continue since last evening.
Possibility of snowfall on the mountains
Himachal is an alert of snowfall from 3 to 4 February. Kullu, Manali, Shimla, Mashuri will have good snowfall. There will be snowfall in the mountains of Dharamshala with rain. Here, the weather will be bad in Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur etc. The same season will remain till 5 February. Skymet has also issued an alert of dense fog. A similar season will be seen in Uttarakhand as well. The weather is likely to deteriorate with cold in Haryana. Due to Western disturbance, there may be a possibility of rain from 4 to 5 February in many districts including Mahendragarh, Gurugram, Fazilka, Sirsa, Hisar, Panchkula.
Possibility of being more hot and dry of February: Meteorological Department
After hot and dry season in January, most parts of India are expected to receive higher temperatures and less than normal rainfall in February. IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mahapatra said that except for some areas of west-central, peninsular and northwest India, most parts of the country are expected to receive less than normal rainfall. The Meteorological Department said that except for parts of north-west and peninsular India, most areas have a minimum temperature to be higher than normal in February. Mahapatra said that the maximum temperature is likely to be higher than normal in most areas except parts of west-central and peninsular India.
