Today’s weather 9 October 2024: Monsoon has bid farewell to most of the states including Delhi-NCR. But rain is still continuing at some places. On one hand, the heat and strong sunlight are making people sweat in Delhi, while on the other hand, heavy rains are continuing in the states of South India and North East. Even today the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in many states. According to IMD, there may be rain in Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Karnataka today. Know what the weather will be like in your city today.

Heat will bother you in Delhi

In the capital Delhi, the heat due to sunlight during the day is troubling people. But there is relief from the heat in the morning and evening. The Meteorological Department has predicted similar weather in the capital for the next few days. According to the forecast, there may be partly cloudy sky in Delhi today. The maximum temperature can be 35 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 23 degrees. The Meteorological Department says that after October 15, Delhi will start feeling pink coolness in the morning and evening. Cold may knock in Delhi by the last week of October. However, its effect will not be visible during the day. The heat will remain intact during the day due to sunlight.

Chances of rain in these states today

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in some states today. According to IMD forecast, light to moderate rain may occur in Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep today. Apart from this, there are chances of rain in Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Northeast India and Tamil Nadu. There is a possibility of light rain in Western Himalayas, Bihar and Eastern Madhya Pradesh.

Weather patterns are changing

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon has bid farewell to most of the states. Cyclonic winds have once again become active in West Bengal. Due to this, a cyclonic circulation has formed over the northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal. A trough is extending from Jharkhand to Manipur across the cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Gangetic West Bengal. Another disturbance is formed over the Bay of Bengal near northern Tamil Nadu and southern Andhra Pradesh, due to which some states of North India including Uttar Pradesh may remain cloudy and light drizzle may be seen for the next five days.

Where will the monsoon return from now?

The withdrawal line of monsoon is currently passing through Nautanwa, Sultanpur, Panna, Narmadapuram, Khargone and Navsari. The Meteorological Department says that monsoon may withdraw from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra in the next 48 hours.
