Today’s weather 27 October 2024: The effect of cyclonic storm Dana has weakened. After which the weather has improved in most areas of West Bengal including Kolkata. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in Odisha, Bengal and Jharkhand even today. There is an orange alert regarding heavy rain in Kerala. Improvement in Delhi’s air quality

The sky is clear in Delhi at this time. The sun was also shining during the day. However, the air quality of the national capital is in poor condition. In such a situation, people are forced to breathe polluted air. However, after a slight improvement in air quality in the last two days, the air quality index (AQI) has moved from ‘very poor’ to ‘poor’ category. Even now, the AQI is in ‘very poor’ condition in six centres, Anand Vihar, Jahangirpuri, Mundka, Wazirpur, Vivek Vihar and Sonia Vihar.

How is the air quality in NCR adjacent to Delhi?

Talking about NCR from Delhi, the air quality in neighboring areas like Greater Noida, Gurugram and Faridabad was better and the AQI was recorded in the ‘moderate’ category. Meanwhile, Noida and Ghaziabad recorded ‘poor’ air quality, similar to the national capital. Weather experts had earlier said that the change in wind direction and increase in wind speed had contributed to the improvement in air quality. According to experts, similar wind conditions are expected to persist in the next few days.

Weather condition in Delhi-NCR

With no major weather activity expected in Delhi-NCR in the coming week, the situation is likely to remain stable. The day temperature in Delhi on Saturday was 33 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal. The department predicted clear sky on Sunday and expected the maximum and minimum temperatures to be around 33 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively.

How will the weather be in UP-Bihar?

The weather is expected to remain clear in most of the districts of Uttar Pradesh. As October progresses, the effects of cold are beginning to be felt. Today the weather is going to be clear in western UP. Gradually the difference in temperature is also being seen. In many districts the minimum temperature has reached around 17℃. In Lucknow also, a slight cold has started being felt due to light wind blowing last night. On Friday, due to storm Dana, rain was seen at many places in Bihar. However, today the sky is expected to remain clear in most areas.

The sound of cold in Rajasthan

As Diwali is approaching, the weather patterns in Rajasthan have started changing. While on one hand there is sunshine and warmth during the day, on the other hand a slight cold is being felt at night. Even today the weather will remain generally clear. However, there may be movement of clouds at some places. A new western disturbance is about to become active due to which further changes in the weather are possible. In many districts the feeling of cold has started increasing with the minimum temperature reaching less than 20 degrees.

Heavy rain alert in Kerala

According to the Meteorological Department, due to cyclonic activity on the southern coast of the Arabian Sea, an orange alert has been issued regarding rain in many districts of Kerala. Very heavy rains are expected in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts today i.e. on October 27. Other parts of the state may also receive moderate rain with lightning and strong winds. People in these areas have been urged to remain cautious and stay updated on weather alerts.
