Today’s weather 21 January 2025: The weather is taking on new colors every day in many states across the country including the capital Delhi. There has been relief from the harsh cold in Delhi-NCR due to sunshine for the last two days. Snowfall continues in states like Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Along with this, there is cold and fog in Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana also. Know where the weather will be today.

Chances of rain in Delhi-NCR

The temperature has increased in Delhi-NCR for the last two days due to sunshine. Even in the month of January, warmth is being felt and there is relief from the harsh cold. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be good sunshine in Delhi even today. The maximum temperature can reach 26 degrees. However, the weather of Delhi is going to change again from tomorrow. IMD has issued a rain alert tomorrow.

Snowfall alert in Kashmir

Cold has wreaked havoc in Kashmir. On Monday, the temperature in the valley dropped several degrees below zero. The Meteorological Department said that there may be more snowfall in the next 72 hours. Kashmir is currently in the grip of ‘Chilla-e-Kalan’, which is the coldest phase. The mercury in Srinagar was recorded at minus 3.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday night. On Saturday it was minus 0.9 degrees Celsius. That means the cold has increased further. The minimum temperature in Pahalgam was recorded at minus 6.4 degrees Celsius. On Saturday it was minus three degrees Celsius. Pahalgam is the base camp of Amarnath Yatra. Cold has increased in Gulmarg also. The temperature there was recorded at minus 5.4 degrees Celsius.

Double attack of fog and cold in Rajasthan

There is dense fog at many places in Rajasthan also. The weather remained dry in the state in the 24 hours till Monday morning. The minimum temperature in Pali was 6.8 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer and Ganganagar 8.9 degrees Celsius. Pilani recorded 9.2 degrees Celsius, Sirohi 9.3 degrees Celsius and Alwar 9.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Jaipur was 14 degrees Celsius. On January 22, there may be rain at some places in Jaipur, Bharatpur and Bikaner divisions.

Cold wave continues in Punjab and Haryana also

Cold wave continues in Punjab and Haryana also. There was fog at many places. Amritsar was the coldest, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 4.8 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Bathinda was 6.6 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Ludhiana was 8.4 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees above normal. The minimum temperature in Chandigarh was recorded at 8.9 degrees Celsius, which is one degree above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.4 degrees Celsius in Ambala, Haryana and 10.2 degrees Celsius in Faridabad. There is rain alert at some places in UP-Bihar. Due to this the cold may increase again.
