This extreme heat has started taking away lives in Delhi. A total of 150 lives have been lost in the last 48 hours. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature broke all records of June and reached 35.2 degrees. This is eight degrees more than normal. Earlier, on 3 June 2010, the minimum temperature of the capital was 34.7 degrees. This was the all-time record. If we talk about the whole year, then this was the hottest morning since 1969. Earlier, this record was made on 23 May 1972. However, the rain accompanied by storm late at night definitely brought some relief to the people of Delhi.

According to the forecast, on June 20, the maximum temperature can be 42 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 33 degrees. It will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of dust storm and light rain. The wind speed can be 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. The weather will be clear from June 21. There can also be a severe heat wave from 23 to 25. During this time, the maximum temperature can be 44 to 45 and the minimum temperature can be 33 to 34 degrees.

What is the condition of the hill states?
There is no relief in hilly states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The weather will remain clear in both these states till June 23. At the same time, the increase in temperature along with the heatwave will make people sweat. However, strong winds will continue to blow in both the states. However, during the last 24 hours, it has rained in some areas of Himachal Pradesh like Mandi, Hamirpur, Dharamshala.

Indifference of weather in Punjab-Haryana
There will be no relief of any kind in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh till June 23. Heat along with heatwave will trouble these two states from June 20 to 23. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in this regard.

People of Uttar Pradesh will get relief
Apart from Delhi, the latest weather update in Uttar Pradesh is giving relief. There is a lot of relief after rain in many parts on Wednesday. Even today, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain and thundershowers in some parts of western and eastern UP. There are many parts of UP where heat wave will still be active. Even after this relief, Kanpur in UP remained the hottest city where 45 degree temperature was recorded. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be a change in the weather in the next 24 hours from Gorakhpur to Lucknow.

There is relief for MPs
The weather has changed in Madhya Pradesh since Monday and some cities like Rewa, Sidhi, Satna, Gwalior and 16 districts received good rainfall. This weather is going to be quite cool for the people waiting for monsoon rains. The heat has eased in these districts. So far, the maximum rainfall has occurred in Bhopal. The Meteorological Department says that monsoon activities can start from June 22. Monsoon will become active in the entire state by 23. However, there is a heat wave alert in places like Chhatarpur, Niwari, Khajuraho and Chitrakoot.

Bihar
Monsoon has almost arrived in Bihar. The weather has become pleasant after good rains in many districts during the last 24 hours. There is a possibility of rain in some parts of Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka in the north-eastern part and Jamui, Munger, Khagaria, Darbhanga, Madhubani district in the south-eastern part. Heavy rain has occurred in many districts of the state including Kishanganj during the last 24 hours.
