Orange and yellow alert issued in Uttarakhand

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for two days in Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is forecast in Dehradun, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh on Monday and Tuesday. Director of Meteorological Department Vikram Singh said that moderate rain was recorded in the entire state during the last 24 hours. Heavy rain has occurred in Dehradun and Bageshwar during the last 24 hours. Apart from this, light to moderate rain has occurred in Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar. The Director of Meteorological Department appealed to the people and said, ‘People should be cautious in the areas where heavy rain warning has been issued and keep distance from rivers and streams. Rainy season starts again in Rajasthan

Clouds will rain heavily in Himachal too

The period of heavy rain will continue in the hilly states of Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Even today, a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunder and lightning in these areas. An orange alert along with a yellow alert for rain has also been issued in Uttarakhand from 20 to 22 August. In Himachal Pradesh, a yellow alert for rain has been issued on 20 and 21 August, while the weather is expected to be clear on 22 August. The weather department has said that the weather will remain clear from 20 to 22 August in Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan.
