Chances of rain in Delhi-NCR
Delhi-NCR got some relief from the humid heat after the rain on Thursday. However, people are still struggling with the heat. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Delhi-NCR today. The sky will remain cloudy throughout the day today. There may be good rain in Delhi and surrounding areas in the next 24 hours. According to IMD, the rain may continue in Delhi till July 21. At the same time, there will be heavy rain in Delhi-NCR areas on July 22 and 23.
Heavy rain alert in Madhya Pradesh
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh and other parts of Central India today. IMD says that due to the trough line, cyclonic circulation and low pressure area being active, a strong system of thunderstorms and rains is forming. Due to this, heavy rains may occur in many districts of Madhya Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Heavy rains are expected in 18 districts of the state in the next 24 hours. This series of rains may continue for the next five days.
Yellow alert for rain issued in Himachal Pradesh
Monsoon has returned to the mountains along with the plains. Heavy rain is expected in many areas of Himachal Pradesh today. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in the state for the next four days in view of the rain. According to IMD, heavy rain is expected in different parts of Himachal till July 23.
Red alert for rain in two districts of Kerala
Along with North and Central India, the states of South India are also in a bad condition due to rain. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain in two states of Kerala today. Heavy rains are reported in the hilly areas of Wayanad district, in which 29 houses were partially damaged, more than 700 people were sent to 22 camps and the water level of the rivers flowing through there has increased. The IMD has issued a ‘red alert’ in Wayanad and Kannur, ‘orange alert’ in eight other districts of the state and ‘yellow alert’ in the remaining six districts.
Heavy rain expected in Odisha
Heavy rains are expected in Odisha due to the formation of a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal on Thursday. The Bhubaneswar centre of the Meteorological Department said that this pressure area may reach close to the Odisha coast in the next two days. According to the centre, due to its effect, heavy rains may occur in many places of Odisha for the next four days.
