Today’s weather 18 September 2024: Half of the month of September is over but the rain continues in most parts of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, this rainy season will continue for a few more days. If meteorologists are to be believed, it will rain not only in Delhi but also in the mountains for two to four days. Due to which the temperature may drop slightly. Meanwhile, IMD has issued a forecast of rain in Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and some parts of Madhya Pradesh today. Rain is yet to happen in Delhi

After two sunny days in Delhi, it rained yesterday evening. The weather department had already issued a yellow alert for rain in the capital. According to IMD, clouds are expected to remain in Delhi even today and it is also likely to rain in some areas. Today, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 32 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 25 degrees. If the weather department is to be believed, there will be movement of clouds in the capital throughout this week.

Orange alert issued in Bihar

The weather has become quite pleasant in most districts of Bihar due to the rains for the last two days. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of heavy rains in many districts today. The IMD has also issued an orange alert for some places. The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and light rains in Buxar, Aurangabad, Kaimur, Rohtas and other nearby districts today. The wind speed may be 30 to 40 kmph.

Flood threat increases in West Bengal

The flood situation in many districts of West Bengal may worsen. Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has suddenly increased the amount of water released from its dams, which has increased the danger. On Monday night at 11:30, DVC released 90 thousand cusecs of water from Panchet and Maithon dams. But in just a few hours, this amount increased tremendously. By 8:31 am on Tuesday morning, it reached 2.5 lakh cusecs. In view of this rapidly increasing flow of water, DVC has issued a red alert.
