Today’s weather 15 October 2024: The Meteorological Department has said that the south-west monsoon has departed from the entire country. With this, Northeast Monsoon has started in some states. IMD has issued rain alert in many states including Andhra Pradesh today. Warning of heavy rain has been issued in cities like Bengaluru and Chennai. Heavy rain is continuing over many parts of Andhra Pradesh due to the low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Here, pink cold has knocked in North India including Delhi NCR.

Pink cold will be felt in Delhi

The weather pattern has changed in Delhi NCR. Now I have started feeling pink coolness in the morning and evening. However, it remains hot during the day due to sunlight. According to the Meteorological Department, now the temperature in Delhi will gradually decrease further. However, the weather will remain like this for a few more days. Light cloudy weather is expected in Delhi NCR today. Along with cold, pollution has also started increasing. In view of pollution, Grape-1 has also been implemented in Delhi.

Chances of rain in Rajasthan

Light rain and drizzle were recorded at many places in Rajasthan during the last 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, during this period, light rain or drizzle was recorded at isolated places in Eastern Rajasthan, while the weather remained mainly dry in Western Rajasthan. According to IMD, even today light drizzle may be seen in some districts of Rajasthan.

Heavy rain alert in Andhra Pradesh

The weather department has predicted the weather system to intensify into a depression in the next two days and move west-northwestwards towards north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts. According to the Meteorological Department, vigorous monsoon activity can be seen in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam today. Heavy rain is expected in parts of West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna and NTR districts of Andhra Pradesh. Similar weather conditions were predicted for Guntur, Bapatla, Palanadu, Prakasam, Nellore, Nandyala, Annamayya, Chittoor, Tirupati and Kurnool districts.

Monsoon bid farewell to the entire country

According to the Meteorological Department on Tuesday, the south-west monsoon has completely departed from the country. Monsoon reached Kerala on May 30 and covered the entire country by July 2. On 23 September it started withdrawing from north-west India. Usually the south-west monsoon reaches Kerala by June 1 and spreads over the entire country by July 8 and its withdrawal from north-west India starts around September 17 and completely withdraws by October 15. According to the IMD, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Western Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were among the states that received above normal rainfall.
