Rain alert in Delhi today

Chances of rain in many districts of UP and Uttarakhand
The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many districts of UP and Uttarakhand today. The Meteorological Department has issued ‘red’ and ‘orange’ alerts for many districts today and has predicted heavy rain in the next 48 hours. The IMD has issued a red alert for rain in Mathura, Agra, Farrukhabad, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur in UP. At the same time, an ‘orange’ alert has been issued for more than a dozen other districts of the state. Apart from this, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in Uttarakhand on September 12 and 13. It has been advised to be cautious of heavy rain in hilly areas.

Heavy rain alert for two days in Himachal
A yellow alert for heavy rain, thunderstorm and lightning has been issued in five of the 12 districts of Himachal Pradesh today. The weather department said heavy rains are likely in parts of Kinnaur, Sirmaur, Solan, Shimla and Bilaspur districts. The weather department also asked people to remain alert about the possibility of damage to orchards, crops, weak structures and kutcha houses. A total of 37 roads are closed for traffic in the state. 10 roads each are closed in Mandi and Kangra, six in Shimla, four in Sirmaur, three each in Bilaspur and Kullu and one in Una district.
Heavy rain is predicted in many areas of Rajasthan
The series of heavy and very heavy rains is expected to continue for a few more days in many areas of Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area has again turned into a depression on Wednesday and is currently over north-eastern Madhya Pradesh and is expected to move in the north-west direction towards western Uttar Pradesh in the next 24 hours. Due to its effect, monsoon is likely to remain active in most parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next three to four days and moderate to heavy rains are likely. According to the IMD, the period of heavy and very heavy rains is likely to continue on 12-13 September in some places in Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota and Ajmer divisions.
