The Army said that out of the amount due, Rs 98.39 lakh has already been paid to the family. The total amount would be around Rs 1.65 crore, the Army said in a clarification.

A three-member commission formed to investigate the Hathras stampede case

A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of retired Allahabad High Court judge Brijesh Kumar Srivastava (II) for the judicial investigation of the accident.
