To whom did captain Suryakumar hand over the trophy after whitewashing Sri Lanka?


New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has started the Sri Lanka tour in a great way. The host team was whitewashed in the three-match T20 series. In the last match that reached the Super Over, India registered a thrilling win over Sri Lanka and won the series 3-0. After this clean sweep, India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav handed over the trophy to Riyan Parag and Rinku Singh. Both of them had shown their prowess in bowling.

India registered a clean sweep over Sri Lanka by registering their third consecutive win in the T20 series. In the last match, India batted first and scored 137 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. In reply, the host team also scored 137 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. The match reached the super over in which India won. Captain Suryakumar Yadav gave the responsibility of bowling the super over to Washington Sundar and he/she dismissed Kusal Perera and Pathum Nisanka and allowed India to set a target of only 3 runs.

Suryakumar gave the trophy to the new player
After a spectacular 3-0 win over Sri Lanka, captain Suryakumar Yadav handed over the trophy to Riyan Parag and Rinku Singh. Both these batsmen tried their hand at bowling in this series and turned the match around. Riyan came in at the end in the first T20 and took 2 wickets, while Rinku played an important role in tying the match by taking 2 wickets while bowling the 19th over in the third match.

India wins the ODI series

The Indian team had taken a 1-0 lead by winning the first match of the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka by 43 runs. In the second match, Team India won by 7 wickets and by winning the last match in the super over, clean sweeped the hosts in the series.
