Moffett, who has worked in the education sector for 30 years, believes that students do not have a basic understanding of civics, so it is important to remove this.

How many marks will the test be?

After this bill becomes law, it will become mandatory for all graduates to pass the civics test. Students must pass the same tests that immigrants must pass to obtain US citizenship. The test covers topics such as the Constitution, major historical events of the country, and the structure of the US government.

This citizenship test has 100 questions in total. After the passing of the bill, students who have given the test after studying Civics in high school will not have to give this test again. However, those who have not studied, such as older students or students from other states, will have to pass this exam to graduate.

The idea of ​​using the USCIS test is not new. South Dakota implemented a similar policy in 2021. Moffett argues that New Hampshire should do the same.
