New Delhi: BJP’s national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala has attacked the Trinamool Congress. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s party TMC has decided to celebrate July 21 as Martyr’s Day. Taking a dig at this, Shahzad Poonawala gave a special advice to TMC. Shahzad Poonawala issued a video message and said, Trinamool Congress has become more violent than the left parties. In such a situation, they should celebrate Introspection Day instead of Martyr’s Day.

‘Trinamool should celebrate introspection day’

BJP spokesperson Poonawal further said that TMC says that they will celebrate 21st July as Shaheed Diwas, will remember the martyrs. Today should not be a day to remember or celebrate Shaheed Diwas but a day of introspection. Because Trinamool Congress has adopted a more violent form than the left parties, political murders have taken place in the state and political violence has been seen in every election.

Shahzad Poonawala mentioned the atrocities being committed against women in Bengal. he/she said that today in Bengal, the slogan of the TMC government is not Maa-Mati-Manush but save the bomb blast perpetrators, corrupt people and rapists. Poonawala also raised questions on the opposition alliance and said that the Trinamool Congress government says that they are celebrating Shaheed Diwas against the atrocities committed by the Left Front government.
