According to media reports, schools will reopen on July 1. Earlier, summer vacation in the state was scheduled from June 1 to June 30. But now schools have been closed since May 28.

This decision has been taken by the state government after the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert of heat wave in many parts of the country. The weather office said in the bulletin that there is a possibility of severe heat wave in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan till May 28.

According to IMD, on May 29, heatwave to severe heatwave conditions are likely in many parts of West Rajasthan, parts of Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi and isolated cases over Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. -There is a possibility of heatwave conditions in different parts.
