Those who troll me will now become unemployed, why did Chief Justice DY Chandrachud say this?

New Delhi : The outgoing Chief Justice of the country became emotional on his/her last working day on Friday. On his/her tenure, the Chief Justice said that there is no greater feeling than being able to serve the needy. CJI Chandrachud is retiring on November 10 but Friday was his/her last working day. A ceremonial bench of four judges, including CJI-designate Sanjiv Khanna, Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra, bid farewell to him/her. During this, CJI mentioned many things. The Chief Justice said something funny about those who troll him/her.

‘One of the most trolled judges’

CJI Chandrachud said that I am probably one of the most trolled judges in the entire system. The CJI said jokingly that I am wondering what will happen from Monday. All the people trolling me will become unemployed! Earlier the CJI expressed deep satisfaction for his/her achievements and the privilege of serving the nation. “You asked me what motivates me,” the teary-eyed Chief Justice said. It is the court that has inspired me, because there is not a single day when you feel that you have not learned something, that you have not got an opportunity to serve the society.

Notable success in judiciary

The CJI said there is no greater feeling than being able to serve the needy and people you will never meet, who you possibly don’t even know, whose lives you have the ability to impact without even noticing. Justice Chandrachud, born on 11 November 1959, has achieved remarkable success in the judiciary. his/her enthusiasm for cricket began in his/her youth, when he/she used to play in the backyard of his/her father’s Lutyens Delhi residence.

Senior Advocate in 1998

The Bombay High Court designated him/her as Senior Advocate in June 1998. Before being appointed as a judge of the Bombay High Court on 29 March 2000, he/she served as Additional Advocate General. he/she later became the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court on 31 October 2013. Justice Chandrachud has a BA in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, LLB from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University and LLM from Harvard Law School.
