Nooyi says that as a wife you have to work full time and in such a situation it becomes a bit difficult to find time for yourself. You should take out some time to do things that give you pleasure. Becoming a mother does not mean that you forget yourself, rather you should focus on yourself first.

Nooyi says that you can go to the spa with your child. Nooyi says that to motivate yourself, you should take out some time for yourself. Try to involve your family members also in the work you like.

Mom guilt is true and many mothers extend their maternity leave because they feel that this will reduce their guilt. Nooyi says that even if the father extends his/her paternity leave, it becomes difficult for the mother to take care of her child at home and concentrate on work. Instead, you can attend play school in the office or work in flexible hours.

The mother alone is not responsible for the upbringing of the child. Father’s contribution is also important in meeting the needs of the child. Nooyi says that it is very important to have mutual understanding between you and your partner and you should give them equal responsibility. If you are going to drop your child to school, then give the job of picking him/her up from school to your partner.

Women have to remember that they do not have to fight every battle. Nooyi says that when children are young, tell them that if they need anything, they can call their father. In this way, you have to take the help of your partner to meet the needs of the children as it can be tiring to handle everything alone.
