When Lord Shiva refuses, he/she says that he/she has a lot of wealth. In such a situation, Lord Shiva sends Ganesha for a feast and his/her hunger is so much that Kubera gets upset. Then Shiva and Mother Parvati advise to feed him/her Tulsi leaves and Ganesha’s hunger is satiated.

It is believed that planting a Tulsi plant in the house maintains peace and happiness because many deities reside in Tulsi. Therefore, if you also want to keep this plant green by planting it in the house, then you have to take care of some things. Because if the plant is not grown properly, it starts drying and there is no good growth. Due to which it needs to be planted a new plant again and again.

There is a risk of fungus in the roots due to excessive watering of the basil plant. Therefore, it is not right to grow the plant only in soil. In such a situation, you should take well drained soil. Which should contain 50% garden soil, 20% sand, 10% vermicompost and 10 percent any kind of organic fertilizer. This will not allow water to stagnate in the roots of basil for long. And then the plant will remain green for a long time.

To plant Tulsi, you can take a medium or large sized pot. The pot should be a little deep and wide, after this make two big holes at the bottom. It is necessary to make holes in the pot so that there is proper drainage. You can put a paper in the pot and put compost soil in it.
