Unless the candidate is able to score the first hurdle i.e. minimum marks, he/she will not be considered eligible for further process.
The minimum passing marks category wise are as follows. UR – 40%, EWS – 40%, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 30%, SC – 30%, ST – 30%.
Short listing of candidates will be like this
RRB has given this information in the notice that the shortlisting of the candidates will be done on the basis of ‘Normalized Marks’. Wherever there are multiple sessions of CBT i.e. Computer Based Test for the same syllabus, the marks will be counted on the basis of ‘Normalized Marks’.
calculation will be like this
The percentile of each candidate will be converted into ‘normalised marks’ to calculate ‘normalised marks’. For this the ‘Base Shift’ method will be used. In this way minimum qualifying marks will be decided and CCAA candidates will also be given separate weightage.
