This Bollywood villain created India’s third largest beer brand by tricking Vijay Mallya


Danny Denzongpa, the popular villain of Bollywood industry, has earned a lot of name in his/her film career. he/she is making noise in his/her personal life also. The actor is running his/her own business, in which he/she did not even allow Vijay Mallya to enter North-East India. And he/she is also contributing Rs 100 crore to the economy there. Danny Denzongpa’s real name is Tshering Phintso Denzongpa. he/she was born in Sikkim in 1948. he/she entered Bollywood in 1971. he/she also worked in superhit films like ‘Love Story’, ‘Ghatak’, ‘Agneepath’, ‘Khuda Gawah’, ‘Krantiveer’ and ‘China Gate’ and made his/her mark. However, he/she also started a beer business in Sikkim in 1987 under the name ‘Yuksom Breweries’. The actor named the company after his/her hometown.

he/she expanded his/her business by setting up Denzong Breweries in Odisha in 2005. Then after four years they captured Rhino Agencies of Assam. According to the website of Danny’s company ‘Yuksom Breweries’, the production capacity of the brand is 6.8 lakh HL per year. This made the actor’s beer company the third largest Indian beer company. Beyond this are Kingfisher and Kimaya.

Vijay Mallya’s company was not allowed to enter North-East

The beer market in India was expanding rapidly in 2009. Vijay Mallya’s United Breweries had captured almost the entire country, but could not enter the seven northeastern states. This veteran liquor businessman had his/her eyes on Rhino Agencies of Assam, which is a new liquor manufacturing company. However, Danny wanted his/her Yuksom to dominate the Northeast market. MSN reported that sensing Mallya’s intentions, Danny himself bought Rhino Agencies and strengthened his/her position in the market.

To promote Danny Denzongpa’s hometown, local people are given employment on a large scale in Yuksom. ‘Sikkim Express’ reported in 2022 that the liquor manufacturing factories located in the northeast employ 250 people and contribute Rs 100 crore to the local economy every year.
