Patna:- Even though the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 session was not special for the Bihar team, 21-year-old batsman Ayush Loharuka attracted everyone’s attention with his/her batting while presenting a sample of hard work. After not being able to perform as expected in his/her debut match, he/she was dropped from the team in the next match. But when he/she got a chance again in the fourth match, he/she proved with great batting that there is no dearth of ability in them. After this, Ayush performed well continuously, scored Ranji’s first century and added important runs for the team.

In a special conversation with Local 18, Ayush said that the roots of his/her cricket love are related to his/her father. he/she said that Papa always inspires me to play cricket. Whenever I get down to bat, I think that my late mother and brother are watching me. I try to give my best every time to make him/her and my father feel proud.

Ayush dedicated the first century of his/her first class career to those special people who played an important role in his/her cricket journey. In this list, his/her coach is Robin Sir, father and late mother and brother. Ayush says that when I completed the century against UP, that moment was very emotional for me. When trust in himself was starting to decrease, Robin Sir believed in me and gave courage.

Father is also fond of cricket
Ayush’s father himself has been very fond of cricket and perhaps this is why Ayush also increased the trend towards this game. Ayush says that Papa always says that you just keep playing, I will handle everything else. Expressing a deep attachment to his/her father, Ayush says that whoever is with me or will get further, it is his/her gift.

Cricketer’s passion was since childhood
Ayush was fond of cricket since childhood. Used to write a cricketer in the school’s slam book. In view of this attachment to cricket, the family also fully supported him/her. Parents and brothers always enhanced their spirits. Everyone’s dream was that one day Ayush appeared in the jersey of the Indian cricket team. But life suddenly took a big test. Ayush’s mother and brother died untimely. This time was going to shake his/her spirits. But then his/her father held his/her hand, placed his/her hand on his/her shoulder and inspired him/her to move forward.

Ayush tells Local 18 that whenever I land on the field, it feels that mother and brother are watching me. This feeling gives me the strength to work more hard. This journey has just started for Ayush. There is a lot to learn and do more.

Ayush Loharuka’s Ranji debut was against Haryana. Score only 3 runs in the first inning of this match and 0 runs in the second inning. The second match was rained with rain with Bengal.
