These are the five reasons why Afghanistan-New Zealand test match is not happening, know whose negligence is it?

Dhirendra Kumar Shukla/ Greater Noida: An international cricket test match was to be played between Afghanistan and New Zealand from September 9 at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida, but due to heavy rains the ground was flooded. Efforts to dry the ground continued, but the match could not start on September 9 and 10. Now the Greater Noida Authority is trying to completely cover the ground to protect it from heavy rain. The collected water is being removed with the help of pumps and super soppers.

According to the officials of Greater Noida Authority, several teams including Additional Chief Executive Officer Prerna Singh and Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi are managing the arrangements on the ground. But due to the lack of arrangements, the preparations of the authority have been exposed. The match could not even start for two days. The authority is providing necessary facilities by talking to the Afghanistan Cricket Board. Due to continuous rain and sunshine, there was a possibility of the match not being held on Wednesday as well.

The match is not happening due to these five main problems

Water drainage: There was a problem with the drainage of water in the ground. It was not checked in time and neither was it prepared properly, due to which water accumulated on the ground and it became slippery.

Outfield Preparation: Even before the rain, water was accumulating in many parts of the ground. This could have been cut and grass could have been laid on time, but this work was done late.

Lack of cover: There were not enough covers available to cover the ground completely. Old methods were used to cover the pitch, even though modern covering equipment is available.

Drying Equipment: The work of drying the ground was done sometimes with a fan, sometimes with a bucket and mug. Even the super sopper was not used properly. Afghanistan team coach Jonathan also looked very disappointed with these conditions.

Lack of skilled staff: Skilled staff was not appointed in time, due to which the lack of technical experts was clearly visible in the preparations for the event.

Due to these five major problems, the international test match could not start for two days. The match to be played from 9 to 13 September has not started yet, due to which questions are being raised on the preparations of the authority. Now efforts are being made to cover the ground, and it remains to be seen whether the match can start today or not.
