In the wake of increasing unrest in Bangladesh, an ISKCON temple in Meherpur located in Khulna Division was targeted. It was set on fire by protesters. The incident destroyed the temple including the holy deities of Lord Jagannath, Baldev and Subhadra Devi. Let us tell you, this temple has a lot of beliefs. Many devotees come here to visit during the Jagannath Raksha Yatra. After the situation improves, the temple may be rebuilt.

Dhakeshwari Devi is worshipped here, who is considered to be the incarnation of Goddess Durga. It was built in the 12th century by King Ballal Sen of the Sen dynasty.

The Adinatha Temple is located on the top of the Mainak Hill on Maheshkhali Island off the coast of Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. Lord Shiva is worshipped here. The temple is famous for its annual fair held in the month of Falgun according to the Bengali calendar. Thousands of Hindus from all over Bangladesh come to this fair which lasts for 13 days.

Puthia Temple is located in the Rajshahi district of Bangladesh. It is one of the most historic temples in Bangladesh. The temple is built around a lake called Shyam Sagar and there is a moat called Shiva Sagar around the temple. Puthia Shiva Temple is the largest Shiva temple in Bangladesh. Some time ago, the Pakistani army tried to displace and break the Shivalinga situated in the temple, but they were unable to move it from its place.
