Celery

  1. It balances Kapha and Vata and improves Pitta.
  2. Drinking water mixed with cumin, cardamom and celery helps in getting relief from bloating, gastric problems and indigestion.
  3. Apart from this, chewing 1 teaspoon celery with warm water mixed with black salt half an hour after the meal gives instant relief from gas pain.

How to remove stomach gas

Cumin

Cumin
  1. It balances Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
  2. It can be taken as CCF tea 1 hour before or after meals.
  3. Cumin powder can be mixed with buttermilk and consumed with lunch.
  4. To pacify vata-pitta, vegetables can be cooked in ghee and cumin.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek
  1. It reduces vata and phlegm.
  2. To get relief from constipation, 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds can be soaked in a glass of water overnight and consumed the next morning.
  3. High vata vegetables like potatoes, green beans, peas, cabbage etc can be cooked in ghee with a tempering of fenugreek seeds to make them easier to digest.

Coriander

Coriander
  1. It balances all three doshas(Vata, Pitta and Kapha)
  2. You can add cumin-coriander powder while cooling the vegetables.
  3. Drinking coriander water reduces bloating and improves digestion.

Cardamom

Cardamom
  1. It is cold in nature and balances phlegm and vata.
  2. A small piece of it can be added to your regular tea.
  3. In case of excessive thirst and hunger, its powder can be taken with ghee in a dose of 250 – 500 mg.
  4. In case of bad breath or diarrhea, cardamom is chewed or its juice is slowly swallowed.
