There was dancing and singing in Ram Mandir Prana Pratistha, Ambani-Adani were there but not farmers – Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has targeted BJP. This time he/she took on BJP regarding the consecration of Ayodhya Ram temple. Rahul termed the ceremony as a ‘dance-song’ ceremony. he/she said that while there was dancing and singing in the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony, industrialists Ambani and Adani were invited, but BJP forgot to invite even a single farmer.

‘No farmer seen in Ram temple’

Rahul Gandhi was addressing an election rally in Hisar, Haryana. During this, he/she said that when the temple opened in Ayodhya, you could see Adani, Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan, but you did not see a single farmer. In this way (Samajwadi Party candidate) Awadhesh defeated him/her. he/she won because the whole of India is watching. You opened the temple and told the President that because you are a tribal, you cannot come inside, you are not allowed.

‘Dancing and singing were going on in Ram temple’

Rahul Gandhi further said, ‘After that they invited Amitabh Bachchan, Adani, Ambani, but did not allow a single labourer. Did you see (there) a worker or a farmer? Dancing and singing is going on, media is shouting… this is your reality. She further alleged that BJP told President Draupadi Murmu that she could not come inside the temple because she was a tribal.

Have given such statement before also

This was not the first time that Rahul Gandhi had attacked BJP over the consecration ceremony. While addressing a public meeting in Chhattisgarh during his/her Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, he/she had also raised questions on the absence of the poor at the Ram Mandir function on January 22. The Congress leader had said, ‘I saw Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Ambani and Adani, but did not see a single farmer or laborer. All the billionaires were there, giving long speeches, while the voices of the poor were ignored.

BJP hit back

There has also been a reaction from BJP on this statement of Rahul Gandhi. BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala hit back, saying the Congress leader’s hateful remarks not only make him/her ‘anti-Hindu’ but also a ‘number one liar’. Poonawala questioned, ‘They said there was no poor person or laborer there! Could he/she not see Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcoming the workers with shower of flowers?
