There is no such thing as a perfect marriage… Shahid Kapoor said – this term is dangerous, I and Mira are on different tracks

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput got married in the year 2015. They have been married for 10 years and their relationship is still strong. Shahid recently talked about his/her perspective on marriage and his/her relationship with wife Mira Rajput in an interview. Shahid said that he/she considers perfect marriage as a dangerous term. There is nothing like a perfect marriage. Shahid Kapoor also told in Raj Shamani’s podcast about how a marriage can work and what is necessary for it. Shahid said that perfect marriage is completely misleading and gives rise to unnecessary expectations. Whereas he/she himself believes in a good and healthy marriage.

When Shahid was asked what he/she considers a perfect marriage, he/she said, ‘First of all, there is no such thing as a perfect marriage in marriage. Rule number one…this is a journey in which you need to understand, respect and accept each other. These things are very important in any marriage. If I care about the things that are important to you and you care about the things that are important to me, then it is a healthy marriage.

Shahid Kapoor was bullied in his/her childhood, suffered grief due to father not being with him/her, said – I felt like my life was ruined

Shahid further said, ‘If I am focusing on what matters to me, then I am asking you to also focus on the same. And you’re trying to tell me what’s important to you, so understand that that marriage won’t work. That is a perfect recipe for ruin. Shahid Kapoor emphasized that when two people coming from different backgrounds get married and enter into a relationship and think that everything will be perfect between them, then it is an illusion.

Shahid again gave the example of marriage and fulfilling responsibilities with Mira Rajput. Shahid said that he/she and Mira are on completely different tracks, but try to face challenges together. Shahid said that he/she and Mira are experts in different things, so they handle things accordingly. Meera looks after and handles matters related to children as she has spent more time with them.
Shahid said that Mira knows the needs of children better. When it comes to any decision regarding children, both of them share it among themselves. But Meera takes the final call.
