There is no fault of CISF in the scuffle between MPs at Makar Gate of Parliament on December 19, SOP will be made.

New Delhi: CISF, which is handling the security of the Parliament, says that there was no mistake on their part in the alleged scuffle between the MPs of the party and the opposition on December 19 at the Makar Gate of the Parliament. However, the CISF soldiers present there performed their duty honestly. In view of the order given by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla prohibiting protest at any gate of Parliament, SOP will now be made in this matter. So that an incident like December 19 does not happen again in Parliament.

‘There was no mistake on CISF’s part’

In this case, CISF DIG (Operations) Shrikant Kishore told in Parliament about the incident of December 19 that there was no mistake on the part of CISF on that day, no weapon was allowed. When he/she was asked by some MPs about the CISF officers deployed at the entry gate of the Parliament not recognizing him/her, he/she said that it has been almost six months since the CISF has been handling the security of the Parliament. Everyone’s feedback has been positive towards CISF. As far as any member’s allegations are concerned, CISF would prefer to remain silent on it. Officials said no MP is subjected to security checks.

no force is investigating

CISF also said that the force is not conducting any investigation nor has any such order been received in the incident that took place at Makar Gate of Parliament on December 19. Two BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured in this incident. Who had to be admitted to the hospital. Delhi Police has registered a case against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on the complaint of BJP in this matter. A complaint was also made by the Congress that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was injured.

CCTV footage kept safe

A CISF officer said that since the matter is being investigated by Delhi Police. As far as the incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the Parliament, the footage of that day has been preserved from all the CCTV cameras installed around the spot. Sources did not say whether any footage of the alleged scuffle between the MPs was captured. But sources definitely say that if the recordings of some cameras installed here are recorded then Delhi Police will ask for investigation. Then on the orders of the appropriate authority it can be given to the investigating agency.
