There is going to be a clash between these big films at the box office, South people have done this math

This year will be remembered for Bollywood’s very poor film release planning. Where films are clashing one after the other on festive release dates. All other release dates are lying vacant. While the South cinema people postponed the clashes by mutual consent. Here is a report: The makers of Kartik Aryan’s film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, which is releasing on Diwali, had recently appealed to the makers of Ajay Devgan’s Diwali release ‘Singham Again’ to postpone their film and avoid this clash. But the makers of the Singham franchise have made it clear that they will bring their film to the theatres on Diwali itself. That means this time two big budget multi-starrer films will be face to face on Diwali. Of course, this clash has once again brought a frown on the faces of the cinema people. In fact, the film people have already seen the result of the clash of three films on Independence Day recently. While the film Stree 2 broke all the records of earnings. On the other hand, the other two films Khel Khel Mein and Veda were badly beaten at the box office. On the other hand, if we look at the film release lineup of South cinema, they have avoided clashes between many of their big films.

This year, the biggest clash of South cinema was going to happen on Dussehra. While Telugu superstar Junior NTR’s film ‘Devra’ was going to release on October 11, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s next film ‘Vettaiyan’ was also announced for the same weekend. The remaining task was completed by another superstar of Tamil cinema, Surya, by announcing his/her film ‘Kangua’ on Dussehra. It was believed that the stars of South cinema would suffer a lot in this clash of three mega budget films. But suddenly the release of Junior NTR’s film was preponed by two weeks to the last week of September. Surya postponed his/her film by about a month. Experts say that Surya has taken this decision to honor Rajinikanth’s film. After Dussehra, Surya also had the option of a Diwali release date. But nowadays South actors are also targeting Hindi belt fans. That is why he/she has kept the release date of his/her film two weeks after the mega clash of ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ on Diwali. While no other big Bollywood film will be in competition. On the other hand, two more superstars of Telugu cinema Allu Arjun and Ram Charan have kept the release date of their films in a gap of two weeks in December. For example, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa’ will be released in the first week of December. Ram Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ will be released in the third week of December.

Although the film makers are facing huge losses due to the clash of films, the cinema owners have no problem with the clash of films. Wave Cinemas Vice President Yogesh Raijada says that this year very few films have been released in theatres. In such a situation, if there is a clash between two or more films during festivals, then it is good for the audience as they will get a choice.

The audience has the final say

Talking about this, producer and film business analyst Girish Johar says that clashes between big films on festivals have become a reality of the present times. Nowadays, multiplex cinemas have so many screens that cinema owners can easily handle the clash of two-three films. However, the producers of the films definitely try their best to get more screens before the release. After the release of the film, everything depends on the choice of the audience, the cinema owners increase the shows of the film which gets a good response. According to Girish, there was a clash between three films on Independence Day, in which one film emerged as the winner. But this time, in the clash between two films on Diwali, both the films are expected to perform well. However, the South cinema people have definitely avoided clashes between their big budget films. This is the reason that in the coming days, their films will be released solo.
