There is a ‘human bomb’ in the flight… Threatening call received regarding female passenger at Delhi airport


New Delhi: In recent times, false news of bombs in Indian flights is continuously emerging. Meanwhile, such a call came at Delhi airport regarding a woman from Mumbai which shook everyone. It was told that a woman coming from Mumbai is a ‘human bomb’. Mumbai’s Sahar Police said that on October 25, at 1:30 am, a person called the control room and informed that a woman going from Mumbai to Delhi was a ‘human bomb’. She is taking Rs 90 lakh to meet her boyfriend.

The person calling is said to be the nephew of a 60-year-old woman resident of Andheri. Police suspect that due to a family dispute, the nephew spread the false rumor of a human bomb against his/her aunt. According to the police, it was said in a threatening tone on the phone, ‘The woman is going from Mumbai to Delhi and then from Delhi to Uzbekistan. She is going from Mumbai to meet her boyfriend. She is carrying Rs 90 lakh and a human bomb.

Police in action on call of ‘human bomb’

After this information, Mumbai Police and Airport Authority came into action. All agencies started collecting information about passengers leaving from Mumbai. But, despite so much effort, no trace of the mentioned woman was found. A police officer said that airport authorities and airlines checked the list of all passengers who flew between 1:30 am and 2:00 pm on October 25. Similarly, Delhi airport officials and police also searched the list of passengers, but did not find the woman described as ‘human bomb’.

Sahar police investigated the Andheri address given by the caller and found that the woman had shifted from there long ago. When the police contacted the woman, it was found that she was a 60-year-old woman and had never booked any flight ticket. Police suspect that the caller is the woman’s nephew and he/she might have spread this false rumor due to a family dispute.

This is the thirteenth FIR related to bomb threats lodged at Sahar police station between October 14 and 25. Police have been able to solve only one case out of the 13, in which a 17-year-old student from Chhattisgarh was arrested on October 13 for posting a threat on Twitter.
