There can be 7 changes in the team, selectors will give chance to IPL stars in T20 series


New Delhi. After the ICC T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket team has to play in bilateral series of the same format. Team India can give chance to new players in the series to be played against Zimbabwe. It is being told that the selectors are keeping an eye on the players who have shown brilliant performance for their respective franchise teams in the Indian Premier League. There are 7 such players who are currently in the race to make a place in the Indian team.

The Indian team will play a five-match T20 series against Zimbabwe between 6th and 14th of next month. The team for this series is expected to be announced next week. Many young players who performed well in the IPL are currently at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. A BCCI source said, “Shreyas is not at the NCA right now. Most of the cricketers in the NCA are those who played well in the IPL and can go to Zimbabwe.”

These include two Tests each in India against Bangladesh and New Zealand, five Tests in Australia and the ODI Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

The team going to Zimbabwe will have IPL stars like Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Avesh Khan, Khalil Ahmed. If Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav are not given rest, they can become captain and vice-captain. Both have been playing continuously since the beginning of IPL.
