Then the exit poll results failed, the election results were completely opposite in Haryana, how accurate was the forecast on Jammu and Kashmir?

New Delhi: It is 2 o’clock in the afternoon, the picture of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir assembly election results also seems to be clear now. In Haryana, Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be forming the government for the third time in a row, while in Jammu and Kashmir, the alliance of Congress and National Conference has removed BJP from the seat of power. The exit poll results, which came three days before the results, once again appeared to be a failure. The exit poll results released shortly after the voting for the Haryana Assembly elections on October 5 had given a clear majority to the Congress in Haryana, but looking at the trends it does not seem so.Difference between Haryana’s exit poll and election results
Exit polls of several channels were released on the evening of 5 October. Most of the exit polls in Haryana were predicting the formation of Congress government, however, there was talk of Congress-NC government being formed in Jammu and Kashmir. Let us first talk about the results of the exit polls. First let’s talk about Haryana. According to the matriculation exit poll in Haryana, Congress was projected to get 55-62 seats, BJP 18-24, Independents 3-6 and Aam Aadmi Party 2-5 seats. According to Dainik Bhaskar, in Haryana, Congress was expected to get 44-54 seats, BJP 19-26, Independents 1-5 and others 4-9. Here AAP claimed not to get even a single seat.

See the exit poll of People’s Pulse Service. According to its exit poll, Congress was shown 55 seats, BJP 26, INLD 2-3, Others 4-6 and Aam Aadmi Party zero seats. According to Dhruv Research’s exit poll, Congress was expected to get 55-62 seats, BJP 18-24, JJP 0-3 and others 5-11 seats. In Aaj Tak-C Voter, Congress was predicted to get 50-58 seats, BJP 20-28 and others 10-14 seats.

Exit polls of Jammu and Kashmir were correct
Like Haryana, however, the election results of Jammu and Kashmir appear to be similar to the exit polls. Exit polls of many channels including Aaj Tak C Voter, Republic Matrix, ABVP had claimed the formation of Congress-National Conference coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir, which also seems to be correct. Since the beginning, Congress-NC have been leading over BJP and now this seems to be changing in the results also.

What is the latest update?
According to the update at 1 pm, contrary to the exit polls, BJP seems to be forming the government in Haryana. According to the Election Commission website, Bharatiya Janata Party is seen getting 49 seats while Congress is seen getting 35 seats. Others seem to be getting 6 seats. Talking about Jammu and Kashmir, Congress-NC alliance seems to get 52 seats and BJP 27 seats. While others have 9 seats, Mehbooba Mufti’s party is getting only 2 seats. So in Haryana, BJP government will be formed after the results are declared, while in Jammu and Kashmir, NC-Congress alliance will rule.
